Community Inovation Challenge

Our goal is to engage high school students to leverage their community design thinking to develop innovative public health solutions; creating a positive community impact.

A 6-week hybrid competition experience led by a team of high school students across New Jersey. Topics will include: The Power of Civic Engagement, Design Strategies for creating Social Impact, and Philanthropy/Social Responsibility

How to Join The Challenge

The challenge is open to any high school student between 13 and 18 years of age from New Jersey

Create a team of 4 Students who are attending high schools in New Jersey to help you build your community project

Benefits of The Challenge

Learn Real-World Community Skills. Students will learn innovative approaches to solving community problems.

Team Work. Each team will work together to develop a community project. Students will develop Teamwork, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking Skills.

Community Novel. Solutions Team will create projects and solutions that fit the community’s needs while creating a positive impact.

 

Program Requirements

Teams will have an opportunity to attend three 1-hr virtual workshop sessions.

Opportunity to brainstorm with mentors who are student and community leaders.

Prizes

The team will receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place Seed Money Prize to launch their community innovation project.

  • 1st place: $2,500 COMMUNITY award

  • 2nd place: $1,500 Community award

  • 3rd place: $1,000 community award
