COVID FOR KIDS
The purpose of the workshop to help understand Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as a future health care professional.
Presentation topics include the natural history of SARS-CoV-2, the pathophysiology of COVID-19, cutting edge vaccine development research, pandemic-related policy interventions around the world, hate crimes against Asian-Americans, the impact of social determinants of health and even basic hand-washing techniques.
Participants will be able to explain what coronavirus is, identify its symptoms, summarize how it spreads, and define key concepts like social distancing. By understanding this, you will be better prepared not only to prevent the spread of coronavirus but also to inform others how to do the same.
